1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website or application may store on your computer, tablet or mobile device when you visit. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember settings (for example language) and provide a secure experience.
This Policy also applies to similar technologies such as browser local storage (Local Storage / Session Storage).
2. Types of cookies and legal basis
A. Strictly necessary (technical) cookies and local storage
These are required for the basic operation of the website and Service (for example language choice, session security after sign-in, navigation). The Service cannot work properly without them.
Legal basis: the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and the exception from prior consent under the Electronic Communications Act.
B. Functional cookies
These remember display preferences, language or in-progress work. We currently remember language with necessary local storage only. If we introduce additional functional cookies that are not strictly necessary, the legal basis will be your voluntary consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
C. Analytics and statistics cookies
These help measure how visitors use the site (for example Google Analytics). We do not currently use analytics cookies on dexpiry.com. If we introduce them, we will ask for your voluntary consent first, through a consent banner.
D. Marketing and profiling cookies
These can be used for personalised offers or measuring campaigns. We do not currently use marketing cookies on dexpiry.com. If we introduce them, we will ask for your explicit, separate and voluntary consent.

4. How to manage cookies
Because we currently use only necessary technologies, a consent banner is not required for basic use of the site.
You can also control, block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking necessary technologies may affect the interface language and the ability to sign in.
5. Transfers to third countries
If we later use analytics or technical tools from providers established outside the European Economic Area, any data transfers will use the mechanisms in Chapter V GDPR (the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses).
